Combining a wide 61-key range with a full complement of mixing and performance controls, the Nektar Impact LX61 mk3 is built for producers and performers who need both keyboard range and hands-on DAW control in one device. The mk3 redesign refines the keybed, upgrades to USB-C and adds four-color LED buttons, making the LX61 equally capable for studio production and live stage use.

Synth-Action Keys and Expressive Controls

Sixty-one synth-action keys deliver velocity-sensitive response across a broad, five-octave playing range suitable for chord voicings, bass lines and melodic runs. The redesigned keybed offers improved consistency and touch compared to the previous Impact LX generation. Pitch bend and modulation wheels are positioned to the left for intuitive real-time expression.

Faders, Pads and Encoders

Eight 30 mm faders provide direct hardware access to DAW mixer channels, sends and any assignable MIDI parameter. Eight velocity-sensitive pads with 8 pad maps and nine full-resolution encoders — including a large master encoder — round out a comprehensive hands-on control surface. Four-color LED buttons give instant visual feedback across all modes during both recording sessions and live performance.

Scale, Chord and Hold

Scale mode locks all note output to a chosen musical scale for in-key performance. Chord mode enables full chord triggering from single key presses, and Hold sustains notes and chords hands-free — together these modes significantly expand the creative possibilities for both studio composition and live improvisation.

DAW Integration and NKS

Deep Nektar DAW integration delivers automatic bidirectional communication with all major DAWs including Logic, Ableton, Cubase, Studio One and Pro Tools, covering transport, track selection and plugin parameter control without any MIDI mapping. Full NI NKS compatibility enables plug-and-play control of NI Komplete instruments and all NKS-ready plugins.

Connectivity
