Universal Audio VOLT 4P MAX Interfață audio USB

Universal Audio Volt 4P Max — 12-in / 6-out USB Audio Interface for Full Band Recording

The Universal Audio Volt 4P Max is the flagship of Universal Audio's Volt desktop USB audio interface lineup, designed for musicians, podcasters, and streamers who need to capture multiple sources at once without sacrificing studio-grade tone. Four Tone Shaping Preamps give every microphone input the rich character of classic analog circuitry, while onboard Max Processing adds real-time compression based on legendary studio compressors. With 32-bit / 192 kHz conversion and a full-color Smart Display, this desktop interface delivers professional results straight out of the box. The Volt 4P Max is the right choice for bands, drummers, and multi-host podcasters who need four mic-grade preamps, ADAT expansion, and broadcast-ready monitoring in a single bus-powered unit.

Tone Shaping Preamps and Max Processing at the Source

Each of the four preamps offers three switchable harmonic character modes — Warmth (tube), Focus (solid-state), and Shine (British Class-A) — for more than 18 noise-free sonic combinations when paired with Max Processing. The onboard compressor bank ships with six musical presets ranging from "Rap Vocals" to "Jangly Acoustic," modeled on the LA-2A and 1176. A built-in talkback microphone and Main/Alt speaker switching make this interface behave like a real control room rather than a simple I/O box.

Inputs and Outputs for Full Sessions

The I/O count is built around band-sized tracking: four mic/line combo inputs on XLR / 6.3 mm jacks, two front-panel Hi-Z instrument inputs, and four line outputs on 6.3 mm jacks. Two headphone outputs (one 1/4" and one 1/8" TRS) share a cue mix for engineer and performer monitoring.

• Simultaneous I/O: 12-in / 6-out
• Mic/Line Inputs: 4 combo XLR / 6.3 mm jack
• Hi-Z Instrument Inputs: 2 (front panel, 6.3 mm TS)
• Line Outputs: 4 × 6.3 mm jack (TRS balanced)
• Headphone Outputs: 2 stereo (1/4" and 1/8" TRS, shared cue mix)

Conversion and Preamp Performance

Audio conversion runs at 32-bit / 192 kHz across all supported sample rates (44.1, 48, 88.2, 96, 176.4, 192 kHz), with 119 dB A-weighted dynamic range on the microphone inputs and 126 dB on the monitor outputs. Each preamp delivers 60 dB of digitally-controlled gain with switchable +48V phantom power per channel.

• A/D – D/A Conversion: 32-bit / 192 kHz
• Preamp Gain: 60 dB (digitally controlled)
• Mic Input Dynamic Range: 119 dB (A-weighted)
• Monitor Output Dynamic Range: 126 dB (A-weighted)
• Phantom Power: +48V, switchable per channel

Digital Expansion, Monitoring, and Software

An ADAT or S/PDIF optical input adds up to eight extra digital channels (8 at 44.1/48 kHz, 4 at 96 kHz, 2 at 192 kHz via S/MUX), while 1/8" TRS MIDI In/Out connects keyboards, synths, and drum machines. The interface ships with the UAD Volt Studio Bundle, including the LUNA DAW, the UA 1176 and Teletronix LA-2A compressors, the UA 610 Tube Preamp & EQ Collection, Pure Plate Reverb, PolyMAX and Anthem synths, plus partner titles like Melodyne Essential, Ampeg SVT-VR Classic, and Virtual Drummer DEEP.

• Digital Expansion: ADAT (8 ch @ 44.1/48 kHz) or S/PDIF optical input
• MIDI: In / Out on 1/8" TRS Type A
• USB Hub: 1 × USB hub port for peripherals, supplies 5 VDC @ 0.5 A
• Power: USB bus-powered, 6.0 W typical / 9.1 W maximum
